Christina plays an integral part in the daily management and operations of the practice as our office manager and financial coordinator. She began her career in the dental field more than 20 years ago and began working as a certified orthodontic assistant in several other practices located in Florida and Massachusetts. Christina possesses excellent communication skills and gained extensive clinical experience while she assisted for 12 years at other multi-specialty dental offices. Eventually, she was offered a position in management and ran those dental practices for the last ten years. Christina joined OBD in 2017 and oversees the running of all areas of the practice to help ensure our patients and families have the best orthodontic experience while at our office. Her vast knowledge regarding patient treatment and practice management allows Christina the ability to effectively address and resolve ANY patient or parent concerns ... should they arise.
Although Christina manages our practice, she actively maintains her license as a certified orthodontic assistant by maintaining her certifications in CPR and OSHA, and continuing education courses every year. Christina is always seeking better alternatives to improve the office’s patient engagement for easier communication, while helping Dr. Gangoy maintain the practice “in step” with the ever-changing field of Orthodontics.
Christina lives in Lynnfield with her husband and two daughters, Gianna and Giuliana. She is a passionate “Shopper” and enjoys traveling, skiing and interior decorating.
A Word from Christina:
“As the office manager for OBD, I am committed to making your experience in our office a positive and unforgettable one! I enjoy what I do and hope to provide the best customer service to all patients and families every day!”
Orthodontic Lab Technician
We are sensitive to the fact that our patients and parents have busy schedules and their time is valuable! With this in mind, we brought Joanne on board early in 2018 and she has proved to be an essential part of our team. She is a highly skilled orthodontic laboratory technician and has more than 35 years of experience in the fabrication of many dental appliances. Her knowledge working with different dental lab materials, along with her skill operating dental equipment, enables faster fabrication with a more accurate fit of your removable clear retainers … sometimes even on the same day as your impression. Joanne takes pride in the fact that she plays an important role in helping patients maintain their beautiful smiles ... from the day the braces are removed and for years to come.
Joanne and her husband have two sons, but the apple of her eye is her adorable granddaughter, Audrina. She enjoys spending time with her family and especially looks forward to the summer when she spends those warm months at Lake Sunapee, NH with her husband, family, and good friends.
A Word from Jo:
“I enjoy seeing the excitement and happiness on our patients’ faces when the braces come off and their new smile is revealed for the first time!”
Licensed Orthodontic Assistant
Angela joined our practice in 2014 and primarily supported our clinical staff by way of clearing instruments and seating patients. She eventually gained more responsibility and became our sterilization technician after becoming fully trained in the proper instrument sterilization protocol.
During this time, Angela became interest in pursing a career with our office where she could interact directly with patients and assistant Dr. Gangoy in delivering their care. Upon completing a radiology certification course at Tufts University in 2015, she received her certification in radiology techniques and safety. She began taking diagnostic records and completed a dental assisting program to become a licensed orthodontic assistant.
Angela is from Saugus and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. As an avid learner, she also enjoys attending continuing education courses as well.
Quote from Angela:
“I love developing relationships with all our patients and watching their smiles transform with every appointment!”
Rose has been working with us for more than 15 years and has provided our patients with excellent customer service. She is the first person you will meet when entering our doors, with her warm voice and friendly smile. Rose has a gift for creating a warm and comforting environment for even the most anxious of patients. Rose manages our front desk and supports patients with their check-ins, and schedules their next appointments before leaving our office. If patients find they must change an upcoming appointment time, she will gladly work with them to find a more convenient day and time. Rose enjoys engaging with our families and gets to know them quite well. She is a true “people person” and is beloved by our patients and the rest of our team!
Rose lives in Wakefield with her husband and has three grown daughters. Recently, she welcomed her second grandson into her close-knit family. Rose is an excellent cook and always looks forward to traveling to warmer climates and relaxing on the beach with a good book!
“I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their different life experiences. I have a soft spot in my heart for all young children and love speaking with them to hear what they have to say because they never fail to amaze me!”
Senior Clinical Assistant / Licensed Orthodontic Assistant
Sarah became a part of our team in the summer of 2018 and brings with her more than 17 years of experience in both dental and orthodontic assisting. She truly enjoys being “hands on” with patient treatment and is highly skilled as a clinical assistant in all aspects. Sarah’s enthusiastic and light-hearted personality comes through clearly when she smiles! However, she really shines in the way she engages with young patients ... always trying to put them at ease and or trying to make them laugh. She maintains an upbeat atmosphere in the clinic with her choice of music playing in the background or by encouraging all patients to enter monthly patient contests to win a prize. Sarah’s approach to patient treatment comes from the heart. She has become a crucial component in helping to transform our clinical floor into a fun, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone.
Sarah is from Rhode Island, and when she is not creating smiles, she is a busy mom: raising her two very young children, Kailyn and Kyle with her husband. As a family, they enjoy traveling, boating, and relaxing with extended family and friends.
“Watching how patients gain self confidence as their smiles transform never gets old!”
